Spirit Fingers

On December 7th at 21 pm in the theatre hall of Impart in Wrocław, the US band Spirit Fingers will give their only concert in Poland.

Spirit Fingers are a jazz supergroup founded in the US and lead by the pianist Greg Spero. The music of this formation merges modern sound, strong pop melodies, mastery and challenging improvisations, resembling groups such as GoGo Penguin and E.S.T.

Their debut album Spirit Fingers released in 2018 and comprising twelve pieces is a combo of polirhythm with innovative improvisation. It exhibits elements of jazz fusion of the 70’s synthesised alongside with today’s sensitivity of pop.

Spero had been a music director and keyboardist by the American vocalist Halsey until he decided to continue his love to improvised music and jazz. He started a modern supergroup named Spirit Fingers with Hadrien Feraud (John McLaughlin, Chick Corea) on bass, a guitarist Dario Chiazzolino (Yellowjackets, Billy Cobham) and a drummer Mike Mitchell (Blaque Dynamite, Stanley Clarke, Christian Mcbride).
