As a part of the festival we will organise workshops which will let you look more broadly at playing bass instruments!

The workshops take place at the:
- Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław pl. Jana Pawła II 2, 50-043 Wrocław
- New Horizons Cinema ul. Kazimierza Wielkiego 19a-21, 50-077 Wrocław

Each participant will receive a certificate of attendance in workshops/master classes organized as a part of the first edition of Bass&Best Festival. Each cartificate will be signed by the faculty.

A unique meeting with Irena Olkiewicz, a double bass player, the president of Polish Double Bass Association, an assistant professor at the Instrumental Department of Wroclaw Musical Academy.

Workshops combined with the presentation of master instruments. Among them - historical and virtuoso double basses; small and large, violin bows, strings and accessories. Instruments from around the world. Demonstration classes with the participation of distinguished bass players of younger generation. Double bass with the elements of tango music, Cuban and Irish music. Lyricism and virtuosity, technical aspects and the sound of bass playing. Presentation of the school for small double bass.

The theme of the meeting is the usage of live instrumentation as well as analogue sets of effects on the stage and in the process of electronic music production in a record studio. During this workshop Bond is going to present different techniques of play, effects and modulations in various styles and also unusual instruments used by Bond on daily basis (bass guitar with two strings, analogue synthesizers).

Michał Muszyński – a drummer in MILOOPA will participate in this meeting. The workshop (in theory and practice) will raise the issue of live electronic usage and live concerts with a drummer synchronized with an external source such as a computer or a multitrack recorder.
